Why is quality of life important?
Today’s modern world is stressful, and record proportions of people report feeling anxious. Although we are living longer, quality of life can be low, even for those of us lucky enough not to be living in war zones or through famines or droughts.
Taking steps towards feeling more positive can bring so many benefits for quality of life, so it’s really worth exploring how this works, and what benefits it can bring you.
Science (the field of positive psychology, specifically) has identified all sorts of interventions that we can do that will help us feel more happy and change our perspectives, improve our motivation and energy levels, and make our lives and the lives of others better.
My free digital resource introduces you to the easiest and most accessible of these – quick wins that you can do really easily and that will show rapid results. Research shows that positivity is like a muscle, and it needs to be regularly exercised!
The resource is designed for you to follow in your own time, based on the latest science of happiness and wellbeing. It gives you five new challenges, one a week, which are accessible and fun. No specialist equipment is required, just an openness to try new things.
Each challenge has a short page on the background and then a five-minute “To Do” giving you a clear action to take. Just 5 minutes a day over 5 weeks will definitely improve your quality of life. Why not give it a try?

I’m excited to share these ideas with you, which all come from scientific studies demonstrating that they work! I developed a really successful and popular happiness and wellbeing course for my students drawing on lots of these techniques, and I’ve picked the most effective ones for this resource as I know they should help improve your quality of life almost immediately (although obviously a little effort and input is required!).
